Are you a passionate and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role within a supportive primary school setting?
We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Eccles, seeking a dedicated SEN TA to support a Year 1 pupil on a 1:1 basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact, helping a child to access learning and thrive within the classroom environment.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 1 with additional needs
- Support the pupil in accessing the KS1 curriculum
- Use proactive strategies to support engagement and behaviour
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow EHCP targets
- Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual needs
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
✅ Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a primary setting
- Strong understanding of autism / additional needs (desirable)
- Confident supporting children on a 1:1 basis
- Knowledge of EHCPs and differentiated learning
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
