We are currently recruiting for a committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in East London. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a pupil who requires additional support, helping them to thrive both academically and socially.
The Role:
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support a pupil with special educational needs on a daily basis, helping to create a structured and engaging learning environment tailored to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN
- Support engagement in lessons and learning activities
- Assist with behaviour management and emotional support
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SENCO
- Track progress and support personalised learning plans
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
- Calm, patient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
