1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School - South London - £95-£115 per day
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in South London. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a pupil with additional needs on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning and develop confidence in the classroom.
The Role:
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a pupil requiring additional support, both academically and emotionally. You will play a key role in implementing tailored strategies and promoting engagement throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs
- Support learning activities and adapt work to meet individual needs
- Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Monitor progress and provide feedback
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs)
- Patient, calm, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
