Vibe Recruit are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to join our client on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, contributing to the production of high-quality panel products.
Pay & Hours
- Rate: £13.50 per hour
- Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm (45-minute break)
- Friday: 7:00am - 12:00pm (no break)
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a range of hand and power tools in line with procedures and safety standards
- Interpret technical/customer drawings to ensure correct assembly and fitting
- Complete pre-checks on machinery and processes accurately
- Measure and inspect products to ensure they meet specifications
- Set up machinery safely prior to production
- Monitor and record operational data as required
- Read and interpret job sheets and production schedules
- Manage goods in (booking stock and quality checks)
- Handle goods out (packaging, dispatch paperwork, and shipping labels)
- Pick and pack warehouse items and raw materials for production
- Maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance and quality
- Follow all health & safety and compliance procedures
- Work collaboratively with management to improve processes
Person Specification
- Experience reading and understanding technical drawings
- Experience using hand cutting tools
- Positive attitude with a flexible approach to work
- Strong team player with awareness of team roles and responsibilities
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Key Skills
- Focus on product quality
- Strong housekeeping standards
- Adherence to health & safety policies
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office)
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous manufacturing experience is desirable
- Ability to safely carry out manual handling tasks
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the day
