Summary

The following are the core responsibilities of the Assistant Practice Manager. There may be a requirement to carry out other tasks which will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels: Supporting delivery of QOF, North West London and local Borough Service. This includes running clinical searches and dashboards to track performance against KPIs, training staff and fixing data quality issues in the practice's clinical system (SystmOne). Working alongside the Practice Manager to ensure the practice is compliant with CQC regulations through regular audits, risk assessments, updating policies and training staff. Assisting in the recruitment of new practice staff including interviews, on-boarding and staff training. Actively participating in weekly practice meetings and other staff meetings. Recording minutes of meetings and subsequent actions. Delivering and assisting with audits and reporting. Undertaking all mandatory training and induction programmes. Ensuring that all staff are compliant with mandatory training requirements. Being aware of duties and responsibilities regarding current legislation and adhere to practice policies and procedures on Safeguarding Adults and Safeguarding Children Attending a formal appraisal with the Practice Manager at least every 12 months. Once a performance/training objective has been set, progress will be reviewed on a regular basis so that new objectives can be agreed. Supporting the Practice Manager in the day-to-day running of the practice and being flexible to the needs of the practice and the management team. This is a new role that is expected to evolve depending on the needs of the practice and the skillset of the right candidate.
