Our Waste Operators play a vital role in maintaining safe, clean, and efficient environments for patients, staff, and visitors.

You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality waste management and portering service, ensuring waste is handled, transported, and disposed of safely and efficiently, while upholding the highest standards of hygiene and compliance.

The Role

Provide an efficient and safe waste collection and portering service across patient and non-patient areas

Collect and transport clinical and non-clinical waste, as well as furniture, linen, food, and other items as required

Ensure all waste is handled and moved in line with correct procedures and safety standards

Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with company and Trust policies, including infection control

Support the smooth operation of site services, responding to service needs as they arise

Use radio and communication equipment correctly and in line with local procedures

Ensure safe storage, handling, and availability of stock within designated areas

Uphold Health & Safety, security, and hygiene standards at all times
