We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialist SEND Teacher to join a dedicated autism provision in Oldham. This role involves supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated communication needs within a structured, nurturing, and highly supportive environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a setting designed to provide consistency, routine, and tailored support, enabling pupils to develop confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
In this role, you will:
• Plan and deliver highly personalised and differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
• Support pupils with communication, sensory processing, and social interaction challenges
• Use specialist teaching strategies and structured approaches to support engagement
• Promote the development of independence, emotional regulation, and life skills
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and SEN professionals
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers to support pupil progress
• Create a predictable, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
Your focus will be on ensuring pupils feel secure, understood, and empowered to achieve their potential.
We are looking for someone who:
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
• Has experience supporting pupils with Autism or additional learning needs
• Demonstrates strong skills in differentiation and personalised teaching
• Is patient, adaptable, and resilient in their approach
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Is committed to inclusive education and improving outcomes for SEN learners
• Main Pay Scale (MPS) paid from day one
• Additional SEN allowance for specialist teaching
