We are currently recruiting a Specialist Autism Teacher to join a welcoming SEN provision in Oldham, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and related communication needs.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist environment where structured routines, tailored teaching strategies, and a nurturing approach help pupils develop confidence, independence, and meaningful progress in their learning.

As a Specialist Autism Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver highly personalised and differentiated lessons designed to meet the needs of pupils with ASC
• Support pupils with communication, sensory processing, and social interaction needs
• Implement specialist teaching strategies to maintain engagement and promote learning
• Encourage the development of independence, communication skills, and emotional regulation
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and SEN specialists
• Maintain strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupil development
• Create a structured, predictable, and supportive classroom environment

Your role will focus on helping pupils feel safe, understood, and motivated to succeed in their learning.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
• Has experience working with pupils with Autism or additional learning needs
• Demonstrates strong differentiation and personalised teaching strategies
• Is patient, adaptable, and resilient
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Is passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with SEN

• Main Pay Scale (MPS) paid from day one
• Additional SEN allowance for specialist teaching
