We are currently seeking a passionate Autism Specialist Teacher to join a dedicated SEN provision in Oldham, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and communication needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist autism unit that focuses on providing a structured, supportive, and nurturing learning environment where pupils can build confidence, develop independence, and achieve meaningful progress.

As an Autism Specialist Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver highly personalised and differentiated lessons suited to the needs of pupils with ASC
• Support pupils with communication, language, and sensory needs
• Use structured teaching approaches and evidence-based strategies to support engagement
• Promote the development of communication skills, independence, and social interaction
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SEN professionals, and therapists
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers to support pupil development
• Maintain a predictable, safe, and inclusive classroom environment

Your role will focus on creating a learning space where pupils feel supported, understood, and motivated to succeed.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
• Has experience working with pupils with Autism or additional learning needs (desirable)
• Demonstrates strong skills in differentiation and personalised teaching
• Is patient, resilient, and committed to inclusive education
• Has strong communication and teamwork skills
• Is passionate about helping pupils with SEN reach their full potential

• Main Pay Scale (MPS) paid from day one
• Additional SEN allowance
