Summary

The purpose of the Senior Global Admissions Officer (SGAO) role is to provide professional support for the University’s international admissions decision making, and related processes, throughout the admissions cycle.

The SGAO works alongside senior Global Office staff in implementing and developing processes and monitoring performance throughout the cycle. They support the work of the Global Admissions team by undertaking complex decision making on international applications and advising and supporting Global Admissions Officers in their work. These duties should be undertaken with a very high-level understanding of courses, qualifications, entry requirements and international equivalencies, and University process, policy and relevant external policies.

Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, after an initial induction period hybrid working is available for this role.

The interviews are currently anticipated to be held on 16 April 2026.
