Senior Engineer (Electrical Safety), On-Site / Fareham Area
Join a leading global technology and safety consultancy and play a key role in helping manufacturers bring compliant, safe electrical products to market. We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer (Electrical Safety) to support testing, certification, and compliance activities for a wide range of electrical devices.
This is an on-site role based in the Fareham area, offering the opportunity to work closely with clients while developing expertise in global product safety and certification.

What you'll do:
- Carry out electrical safety testing and design assessments at laboratory and client sites
- Identify compliance requirements and develop practical strategies to achieve certification
- Support CE marking and global market access for electrical products
- Conduct factory inspections and compliance evaluations
- Produce detailed technical reports and test summaries
- Perform peer reviews of documentation and certification reports
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards
What we're looking for:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Experience in electrical safety testing and CE marking compliance
- Good understanding of IEC operational documents and certification processes (including CTF)
- Knowledge of global market access requirements for electrical products
- Strong understanding of electrical/electronic circuits
- Experience working with laboratory quality procedures and testing environments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client-facing work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to visit client sites and undertake occasional international travel
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable experience:
- Experience within a product testing or certification environment
- Knowledge of regulatory and global certification procedures
- Familiarity with standards such as IEC 62368, IEC 61010-1, and IEC 60335-1
- Experience conducting CIG023 inspections
