Summary
Nursery Nurse – Carlisle
Humly is recruiting a Nursery Nurse to join a primary school on a long-term basis.
This is a full-time role starting 13/04/2026 and continuing until 07/09/2026. This role would suit a qualified early years professional or teacher who is confident working across nursery age groups and enjoys delivering a hands-on, play-based approach within a supportive setting.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting children across baby, toddler, and pre-school rooms
Delivering engaging, play-based learning activities in line with EYFS
Ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children
Supporting children’s personal, social, and emotional development
Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress
Working collaboratively with staff and communicating effectively with parents
What You’ll Bring
Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience working within nursery or early years settings
A caring, energetic, and proactive approach to childcare
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
Ability to work flexibly across different age groups
Commitment to safeguarding and child development
Pay
£13.70 – £14.50 per hour
