Summary

Specials Equipment Apprentice – Birmingham

Hours: 30 per week | Salary: £12,480.00 per annum

Join Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd, the UK’s leading provider of community medical equipment services. As a Specials Equipment Apprentice, you’ll learn how non‑standard (“specials”) equipment is checked, catalogued, repaired and prepared for reuse, supporting people to stay independent at home.

Key Responsibilities & Learning Areas:
- Support coordination of new and recycled specialist equipment
- Check items for completeness and quality
- Photograph and catalogue equipment in the online system
- Liaise with suppliers, prescribers and internal teams
- Assist with repairs, warranty checks and safe storage
- Occasionally help with equipment deliveries or collections

What We’re Looking For:
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths & English
- Good communication, organisation and IT skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work well in a hands‑on warehouse environment
