Lead a New Home and Shape the Culture
Cornerways Homes is seeking a motivated and experienced Children’s Home Lead to help lead our new therapeutic children’s residential home in Wixams, Bedford.
This is an opportunity to shape a new home, develop a staff team and create a stable, nurturing environment for children with emotional and behavioural needs.
You will work closely with the Registered Manager and senior leadership team, with a clear pathway to Registered Manager leadership as the organisation grows.

Our Therapeutic Approach
We work in partnership with Meadows Psychology Service, a clinical psychology-led service supporting our homes.
This includes:
• Psychological assessments within the first three months of placement
• Regular psychological consultation and reflective practice sessions for staff
• Support developing therapeutic strategies and care planning
The Role
As Children’s Home Lead, you will:
• Support the Registered Manager in leading the children’s home
• Develop and supervise the staff team
• Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations & Quality Standards
• Support care planning, safeguarding and risk management
• Build strong relationships with local authorities and professionals
• Promote a positive, therapeutic environment for children

Essential Requirements
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
• Significant experience in children’s residential care
• Experience at senior or leadership level
• Strong safeguarding knowledge
• Experience supervising staff teams
