Summary

Our client, a highly respected educational institution in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supply Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. This is a full-time position with a competitive daily rate of £89.00 - £96.00.

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of our students. Your primary responsibilities will involve assisting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons, providing one-on-one or small-group support, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our learners.

We are looking for an individual who possesses a genuine passion for education and a deep commitment to helping students reach their full potential. You should have a strong understanding of the UK curriculum, as well as experience in implementing effective teaching and learning strategies.

In this role, you will be expected to:
- Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students
- Provide targeted support to individuals or small groups, addressing any learning difficulties or special educational needs
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and development
- Contribute to the creation of a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Adhere to the school's policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and child protection

To be successful in this position, you should have:
- Relevant qualifications, such as a teaching assistant certificate or equivalent
- Proven experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role within an educational setting
- A strong understanding of the UK education system and curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with teachers, students, and parents
- Proficiency in using various educational technologies and digital tools
- A passion for working with children and a commitment to their academic and personal growth
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently when required
- A flexible and adaptable approach to meet the varying needs of the school and its students
