Summary

We are seeking an experienced Welfare Rights Caseworker to join our established Welfare Rights Team at Citizens Advice Cheshire West. This is a rewarding role where you will provide high-quality welfare benefits advice and support to clients across the Cheshire West area, managing a varied and challenging caseload.

In this role, you will play a vital part in helping people access the support and benefits they are entitled to. You will resolve complex benefit issues, prepare written appeal submissions, and, in some cases, represent clients at tribunal. Your work will make a tangible difference to individuals and families facing financial hardship or uncertainty.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Delivering specialist welfare benefits casework in community and home settings

- Managing a caseload efficiently to a high-quality standard

- Preparing written submissions for appeals and tribunals

- Representing clients at tribunal when required

- Working collaboratively within a supportive, committed team

About You

You will be an experienced welfare rights caseworker motivated by making a real difference in people’s lives. You will bring:

- Recent, relevant welfare benefits casework experience

- Experience preparing appeal submissions

- An enthusiastic, proactive attitude

- Own transport for travel across the district
