We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Workplace Assessment (DSE) Coordinator to join our team at SMBC Europe.
This role is all about making sure our employees - both new starters and existing colleagues - have the right workplace adjustments to work safely, comfortably, and effectively.
Job Description
You will coordinate and manage the full workplace adjustment process from start to finish. This includes equipment like adjustable desks, chairs, keyboards, and mice, mandatory training, as well as supporting employees returning to work after illness or injury.
You will act as the central point of contact for employees, HR, and other stakeholders to ensure every request is handled efficiently and sensitively.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all new starter and pre-existing employee workplace adjustment requests.
Coordinate with external specialists to arrange assessments where required.
Ensure all recommended equipment and adjustments are delivered, set up, and tracked.
Maintain accurate records, trackers, and reports on all cases.
Provide guidance and support to employees on general workplace ergonomics.
Liaise regularly with HR, line managers, and other internal teams.
Proactively identify trends, escalate recurring issues, and suggest process improvements.
Support a potentially large workforce of up to 1,500 employees.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Proven experience coordinating workplace adjustments or similar HR/facilities support.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable managing multiple requests and following cases through to completion.
Experience working with systems, processes, and trackers.
Ability to work flexibly to accommodate employee schedules when required.
Familiarity with ergonomic equipment and DSE principles is highly desirable.
