Summary


We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiac Practitioner trained to an enhanced level of practice to join our cardiology specialist nurse service at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.

The team is made up of highly skilled Cardiac Advanced Clinical Practitioners and Specialist nurses in electrophysiology, heart failure and acute coronary syndrome. We pride ourselves in being forward thinking in service development initiatives and opportunities. As well as supporting the rapid access cardiac clinics including atrial fibrillation, chest pain and heart failure we have introduced new services such as Same Day Emergency Clinic (SDEC) and hospital at home (H@H).

After a period of training and competency completion the successful candidate would be expected to work in a variety of areas supporting both cardiology front door services and departmental flow through Consultant led ward rounds. The role also involves the running of rapid access cardiac clinics and the undertaking of procedures such as elective cardioversions.

The shift patterns and times will vary according to the needs of the service but will involve weekend and bank holiday working pattern.

Base Location: The post holder is expected to work across all three hospital sites (Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Poole Hospital, Christchurch Hospital)

This role requires NMC or HCPC Registration.
