Summary

We’re looking for a proactive, detail focused HR Systems Administrator to join our small team at a key moment of change. The Council is moving to a new cloud based HRM system, and you’ll play a central role in helping to make the transition smooth, efficient, and future focused. The work you’ll do will shape our digital HR processes and make life easier for employees and managers.

What you’ll be doing
• Maintain and administer our HR system, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth daily operation.
• Support the rollout of the new HR system, including data migration, testing, and process redesign.
• Create user guides and assist with training to help colleagues adapt to new systems.
• Produce clear, insightful management information on absence, turnover, and workforce trends.
• Analyse data to spot patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop digital workflows that streamline HR processes.
• Ensure all HR data meets GDPR and governance standards.
• Work closely with the HR team on projects and continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring
• Experience in HR systems administration and process improvement.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data.
• Experience producing management information and workforce analytics.
• Good understanding of GDPR and data governance.
• General HR knowledge to support digital workflow design.
• GCSEs (including Maths and English)
• Confident user of Microsoft Office, HR systems, and spreadsheets.
• Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Highly organised, able to manage your workload and meet deadlines.
• Calm under pressure, adaptable, and proactive.
• Discreet, diplomatic, and committed to confidentiality.
• Flexible and willing to support wider HR work when needed.
