HR Shared Services Manager
Location: Nottingham (with travel to other UK sites)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + Car Allowance
The Role
This is a pivotal role leading our HR Shared Services function, ensuring a high-quality, efficient, and consistent service across
the full employee lifecycle.
You’ll drive operational excellence, lead continuous improvement, and act as the key link between HR, the wider business, and
external partners.
Essential Requirement
To be considered for this role, you must have prior experience working within an HR Shared Services environment.
This is a non-negotiable requirement, and applications without this experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the day-to-day delivery of HR Shared Services, ensuring SLAs and service standards are consistently achieved
* Act as the escalation point for complex or high-risk HR queries
* Lead, coach, and develop the HRSS team, building a high-performance culture
* Manage resource planning, workload distribution, and capacity forecasting
* Drive continuous improvement across HR processes, systems, and workflows
* Lead HRSS transformation and change initiatives
* Ensure HR systems are optimised, with strong data accuracy and integrity
* Collaborate with Payroll, Reward, Recruitment, Talent, and wider HR teams
* Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing guidance and challenge where needed
* Own HRSS reporting, using data and insights to drive performance improvements
* Support integration of new sites/entities into HR Shared Services
About You
* Proven experience within an HR Shared Services function (essential)
* Strong understanding of HR processes and the full employee lifecycle
* Experience working with HR systems and HR data
* Strong leadership and team development capability
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Analytical mindset with experience using KPIs, SLAs, and reporting
* Experience driving process improvement, transformation, or change initiatives
