Teaching Assistant - SEN Support

£95-£110 per day (dependent on experience)

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Bolton. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping pupils with additional needs succeed both academically and personally.

The school is dedicated to creating an inclusive, positive, and nurturing environment where every pupil is supported to reach their full potential. As part of the support team, you will play a key role in helping students engage with learning and develop confidence in the classroom.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and SEN staff to provide targeted support for pupils with special educational needs.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting teachers with planning and delivering adapted learning activities
- Helping pupils remain engaged and confident during lessons
- Encouraging the development of independence, social skills, and self-confidence
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to the teaching team
- Supporting the classroom environment to ensure it remains safe, structured, and inclusive

The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field (Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent)
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- A good understanding of how to support differentiated learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent organisational abilities
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach when working with pupils
- A commitment to ongoing professional development
