Summary
Primary Teacher QTS | Year 1/2 – Carlisle
Humly is recruiting a Primary Teacher QTS to join a primary school on a temporary basis.
This is a full-time role starting 27/04/2026 and continuing until 17/07/2026. This role would suit an experienced Key Stage 1 teacher looking to take full responsibility for a Year 1/2 class in a supportive and welcoming environment. This position is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
What You’ll Be Doing
Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Year 1/2 pupils
Assess and monitor pupil progress to support learning outcomes
Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent teaching standards
Provide targeted interventions to support individual pupil needs
Maintain accurate records and communicate with parents as appropriate
What You’ll Bring
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Key Stage 1 in a primary setting
Strong classroom management skills
Ability to work independently and take full responsibility for a class
Enthusiasm for fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
Pay
Non-AWR: £130–150 per day
