Summary
Job Title : Electrician – Trainee / Junior Fire Installation Engineer
We wish to recruit an experienced part qualified / qualified electrician who is capable of installing and signing off work to be fully compliant to BS7671 and a member of J.I.B.. They must also be fully competent with lighting circuits, testing and additions.
We are looking to take on an Electrician to develop into a Fire Installation Engineer.
CAMS Fire & Security PLC has been established since 1984,
Certificated to NACOSS Gold approval for Security Systems and LPC LPS 1014 approval for Fire Alarm systems. To add to our team we require Fire Install Engineers who wish to further their careers. We are expanding within our fire department and require Fire Engineers covering an area predominantly within a 50 mile radius of the Stevenage area working on a variety of premises including commercial and residential premises.
The main duties will include Installation Fire Alarms, Smoke Sensing Systems and some emergency lighting work.
You must have a clean full UK driving license.

• You will be shown to work to the relevant standards, BS5839 and BS6266, training will be given in this area if required.

• You will implement work orders provided by the office and remain adaptable and dependable under time pressure.
• You will maintain records of works done.
• We install other systems other than Fire Alarm Systems, where there is on the job training.
• You will maintain a safe work environment at all times by following all relevant standards and procedures.
• You will update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities made available through the company and reading technical publications.
• You will be reliable, punctual and driven to succeed, a desire for learning and self-improvement
