Summary
Duties of the Music Director:
- Planning of Church Programs and Activities focusing on Music and Worship
- Coordination of the Music, Choir, and Worship Units of the church
- Leading the Church’s Music and Worship programs
- Coordinate weekly rehearsals of the choir and instrumentalists.
- Training of children and youths on voice training and musical skills
Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required for Music Director
- The post occupier must hold a minimum of Secondary School education.
- A strong personal Christian faith.
- A good knowledge of Church Music and Afro-Christian Songs
- Knowledge of at least 2 musical instruments
- Ability to teach some musical instruments
- An ability to work within and maintain professional boundaries when working with people.
- Understanding and knowledge of confidentiality and safeguarding issues.
- A commitment and ability to work with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds
