Summary
Please note: This post is offered on a three day per week job share basis, with working days to be agreed at interviewGrade: Grade 4, £26,646 - £28,213 per annum, pro rata. Approximately £9,944 - £10,529 per annum (0.37320 FTE)About us and the roleWe are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Learning Resource Manager to lead the strategic development and day-to-day management of the school library at Avanti Fields.
This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about reading, research skills and resource development to make a meaningful impact across the whole school.
The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting curriculum delivery, strengthening students’ information literacy and promoting a strong culture of reading for pleasure.
Working collaboratively with subject leaders and teaching staff, you will ensure that high-quality, diverse and accessible resources are available to all learners, while creating a welcoming and inspiring library environment.

Avanti Fields School is an all-through, faith-designated (Hindu) state school which welcomed the first intake of Year 7 students in September 2018, and first intake of Nursery and Reception students in September 2022. The school is rapidly expanding and will grow year by year to a full cohort of 1,320. This is an exciting time to join the school as it continues its journey to outstanding.

What will you do?
Lead and manage the school library and learning resources, ensuring they are well organised, inclusive, accessible and effectively promoted across the school.
Select, acquire and maintain high-quality print and digital resources that support the national curriculum, equality and diversity, and wider reading for pleasure.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and subject leaders to support curriculum planning, develop information literacy skills and advise on copyright compliance.
Promote a strong reading culture by leading initiatives that inspire reading for pleasure and supporting independent learning.
Manage the library budget, systems and environment, while supervising and training staff, volunteers and pupil librarians.Why should you apply
