About the Role

This is a full-time, position starting as soon as possible for a dedicated Business Studies specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality curriculum across Key Stages 4 and 5, with a particular focus on A-level Business. The role requires someone who can bring the world of commerce to life, using real-world case studies to help students navigate the complexities of finance, marketing, operations, and strategy.

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Strong subject knowledge of current business theories and global markets.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality lessons across GCSE and A-level Business Studies.
  • Develop innovative schemes of work that align with national curriculum standards.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback to ensure target grades are met.
  • Prepare students for external examinations through rigorous revision sessions and mock assessments.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment through effective classroom management.
  • Collaborate with the Social Sciences department to share best practices and resources.
  • Engage in parent-teacher evenings and departmental meetings to discuss student development.
  • Integrate ICT and digital literacy into the Business curriculum.
  • Support extracurricular activities, such as Young Enterprise or business-related clubs.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends to ensure the curriculum remains relevant.
