Summary
Are you ready to help shape the future of water and wastewater treatment?
We’re looking for an EICA Design Engineer to play a key role within our Design Team, contributing to projects that protect communities and the environment. In this exciting role, you’ll design and develop Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation systems that underpin critical treatment processes.
You’ll work closely with civil, mechanical, and process engineering colleagues to ensure seamless integration of all EICA components, from concept design through to commissioning and project handover. Your expertise will support project delivery teams, guiding safe and efficient implementation while staying at the forefront of emerging technologies and best practice in automation and water treatment systems.
We are looking forward to expanding our team to Glasgow. Please note that this role will require you to be on site or in the office at least 3 times a week.

What We’re Looking For
Experience, Knowledge and Skills

3–5 years’ experience in EICA design engineering, ideally within the water or wastewater sector

Understanding of control system architectures, PLCs, SCADA systems, and instrumentation used in water treatment

Experience developing electrical and control designs such as SLDs, control strategies, and I/O schedules

Familiarity with industry standards relating to electrical safety and control system design

Excellent problem‑solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in fast‑paced project environments

Experience with electrical design tools, PLC/SCADA programming, and instrumentation

Understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and their EICA requirements
Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
