We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Private Patients Head Chef to oversee and control all aspects of meal production in line with company, client, and statutory requirements.​

This role is central to delivering high-quality food and exceptional service while maintaining strict budgetary and operational standards.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who can lead by example, ensuring that all meals are produced to the highest standard, the kitchen operates efficiently, and staff are well-trained, motivated, and supported.

This position requires strong organisational skills, excellent culinary knowledge, and the ability to maintain compliance across all areas of the kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and control all aspects of meal production within budget and regulatory guidelines.

Ensure prompt service of meals and services to company standards and client satisfaction.

Plan, coordinate, and order all food requirements for the service.

Adhere to standard recipes and production planning based on client numbers.

Introduce and implement current food trends and ideas into the business.

Maintain cost control to ensure meals and services remain within agreed budgets.

Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean, tidy, and compliant at all times.

Understand all kitchen equipment and train staff in their correct use.

Work with, supervise, train, motivate, and manage the performance of the kitchen team.

Liaise with staff and clients to ensure sufficient staffing levels of the required standard.

Complete all food orders and ensure nominated suppliers are used appropriately.

Ensure all stores and potential loss areas are secured at all times.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Strong culinary skills with the ability to produce high-quality meals consistently.

Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene, and statutory compliance requirements.

Ability to work within budgetary guidelines and maintain strict cost control.

Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

Effective planning and organisational abilities, particularly around production schedules and ordering.

Competence in using and demonstrating kitchen equipment safely and accurately.

Knowledge of current food trends and the ability to adapt menus accordingly.

Ability to remain calm, efficient, and organised in a busy kitchen environment.
