Are you a qualified Early Years practitioner who has an interest in German or speaks German? Are you passionate about child-led learning, language development, and outdoor education? If so, we’d love to welcome you to our team at The German Kindergarten London!
We’re a bilingual German-English nursery with settings in South West, South East and East London, where children explore, play, and grow in a nurturing, nature-inspired environment. Our approach is rooted in learning through play, and we’re looking for someone who shares our values and enthusiasm for early childhood development.
Why You’ll Love Working With this nursery:-
Child-Led, Nature-Based Learning
You’ll work in a calm, outdoor-focused environment where children learn through meaningful experiences.
Bilingual and Inclusive Community
You’ll be part of a multicultural team and help create a space where both German and English are naturally woven into daily life.
Supportive Team Culture
You’ll be joining a small, passionate team that values creativity, collaboration, and continuous development.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Nursery School Teacher, you’ll take an active role in leading learning experiences, supporting children’s development, and ensuring every child feels secure, inspired, and cared for.
You can expect to:
• Deliver engaging, play-based learning aligned with the EYFS framework
• Work with toddlers or in the baby room
• Create and lead creative activities that challenge and support each child’s development
• Build strong relationships with parents and act as a key worker
• Maintain accurate developmental records for your key children
• Help ensure all safeguarding and welfare policies are followed
• Support children’s communication skills in both German and English
We’d Love to Hear from You if You:
• Hold a Level 3 or higher Early Years qualification or you speak German and are interested in working in child care
• Have previous experience working with children, ideally in a nursery setting (e.g., as a nursery practitioner or nursery nurse)
• Are passionate about child development, language learning, and outdoor play
• Are comfortable working in a predominantly German-speaking environment
• Are enthusiastic, proactive, and enjoy being part of a supportive team
