Summary

We're looking for a qualified Finance Manager - Management Accounting with experience in complex and consolidated accounts, ideally with a background in housing, to join our fabulous Management Accounting team and proactively support the Director of Accounting and Reporting in the delivery of high-quality Management accounts, analysis and reporting service to the Group.

As our Finance Manager - Management Accounting, you'll:

-Lead a team of 4 Management Accountants & Assistant Management Accountants, coaching and mentoring to effectively deliver team objectives and to develop their potential.

-Deliver accurate, relevant and timely management accounts which support decision making for all aspects of the group and manage risk.

-Analyse and review financial information including forecast and impact on key performance indicators.

-Deliver a robust financial reporting service for all areas of the group.

-Managing the day to day running of the management accounting service whilst helping to engender a continuous improvement culture across wider teams.

-Responsible for the maintenance of the suite of relevant Key Performance Indicators.

-Communicate emerging risks on a timely basis to more senior colleagues.

-Deputise for the Director of Accounting and Reporting, as and when required.

-Establish collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders, showing pragmatism and support for the group's objectives.

What you'll need to have?

-Be a Qualified Accountant, experienced within a large, complex organisation with significant budgets.

-Previous Housing sector experience is highly desirable.

-Significant experience of managing change and major projects.

-Proven experience of developing and managing an excellent customer driven service.

-Experience of developing finance reporting systems which support the business

-Experience in the production of quarterly and annual management and statutory accounts as well as annual and revised budgets with analytical review.

-Good knowledge and understanding of Accounting Standards and Taxation legislation

-Great ability to interpret information, carry out research, analyse complex data, appraise performance; understand and manage risk & compliance matters

-Experience of using digital technology within a finance environment

-A proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced and changing environment

While this role is mainly a home-based, regular travel to Group offices at Birmingham Business Park Solihull and Central Park, Worcester will be required.
