Summary

A Vacancy at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.


This one year, full time clinical fellowship position to attain advanced specialist clinical skills across the spectrum of McArdle and related diseases. The post will include inpatient and outpatient experience in the assessment, investigation, management. Supervision and instruction will be provided by consultant neurologists and clinical academics with established national and international standing in these disease areas. Candidates will have to opportunity to learn from observation and encouraged to develop autonomous clinical assessment and decision-making skills over the course of the fellowship. Multi-disciplinary engagement with specialist nursing, OT, physiotherapy, neuropsychology, neuropathology, neuroradiology and neurophysiology is integrated into daily practice. There will be the opportunity to perform an audit, quality improvement project, clinical research project or PHD under senior supervision

The Trust Grade Doctor will have primary charge of the day-to-day care of patients under the Neuromuscular firm. Clinical duties will include attending consultant ward rounds, attending outpatient clinics and MDT meetings..
