Summary
Whilst working in this role you will act in the role of The deteriorating patient SHO. This is a core part of the Hospital at Night team, responsible for the assessment and management of acutely deteriorating medical and surgical inpatients. The role involves working in close partnership with the Critical Care Outreach Team (CCOT) to review NEWStriggered patients, provide timely interventions, escalate concerns appropriately, and ensure safe handover of highrisk cases. In addition to clinical duties, the role supports the Trusts wider deteriorating patient improvement programme, with opportunities to develop procedural skills, participate in simulationbased education, and contribute to quality improvement projects aimed at strengthening deterioration recognition and response across the hospital
