Long Term Futures is seeking a patient and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with ADHD, SEMH needs, and challenging behaviour in a welcoming primary school in Radford, Coventry (CV6). This is a long-term role with the opportunity to become permanent.
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with ADHD, SEMH, and behaviour needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a structured learning environment.
- Encourage social and emotional development through positive interactions.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning strategies.
- Assist with classroom activities and engagement.
- Knowledge of de-escalation techniques, trauma-informed approaches, and behaviour intervention strategies.
- Experience using positive reinforcement and emotional regulation techniques.
- Previous experience supporting children with ADHD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour..
- Team Teach training (desirable but not essential).
- Min 6 months experience in a school or SEN setting.
- A passion for supporting children's development and well-being.
- Long-term, stable work with the potential for a permanent role.
- No day-to-day supply - full-time consistency in one school.
- A dedicated consultant to support you throughout your placement.
- Trial days instead of formal interviews to ensure the right fit.
- Access to free CPD training, including Understanding Autism, Behaviour Management, Trauma-Informed Practice, and Team Teach de-escalation techniques.
