Summary

As part of the Northern Growth Strategy, Northern Powerhouse Rail (NPR) will create a frequent and reliable turn-up-and-go railway service across the growth corridor: including Liverpool, Manchester, Bradford, Leeds, Sheffield and York. Regular services will continue to Newcastle via Darlington and Durham; Hull; and Chester, with connectivity benefits for North Wales and across the rest of the North. We are looking for a Deputy Director to lead the development of Northern Powerhouse Rail between Liverpool and West Yorkshire. In line with the government’s announcement in January, the focus will be on Liverpool to Manchester in the first instance.
