Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Lecturer to join a forward-thinking college in North West London on a long-term temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and support learners studying Business Studies, Enterprise, and related programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching across Business courses (e.g., Business Studies, Marketing, Management, Finance, and Enterprise)

  • Plan engaging lessons aligned with curriculum and awarding body requirements

  • Prepare learners for exams, coursework, and real-world business scenarios

  • Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback on learner work

  • Support learners' academic progress and career development

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment

  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes

  • Embed employability skills and current industry knowledge into teaching

Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Business, Management, Finance, or related field (Degree preferred)

  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one

  • Experience teaching Business in a Further Education or similar setting

  • Strong knowledge of current business practices and economic trends

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills

  • Ability to engage and motivate learners at varying levels
