Job Title: Creative Media Lecturer

Rate: £40 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Creative Media Lecturer to join a thriving college in North West London on a long-term temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic media professional to inspire and develop learners studying Creative Media Production and Digital Content programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across Creative Media courses (e.g., film, digital media, content creation, photography, and media theory)

  • Plan engaging, industry-relevant lessons aligned with curriculum and awarding body requirements

  • Support learners in developing practical production skills and creative portfolios

  • Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback on practical and theoretical work

  • Guide learners in using industry-standard software and equipment

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment

  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes

  • Support learners' progression into higher education, apprenticeships, or media careers

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Creative Media, Media Production, Film, or related field (Degree preferred)

  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one

  • Experience teaching Creative Media in a Further Education or similar setting

  • Strong knowledge of media production processes and digital platforms

  • Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop)

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills

  • Awareness of current media trends and industry practices
