Summary
Graduate Teaching Assistant (ICT)Hours: 8 per week.
Flexible hours ideal for graduates or postgraduates. For example, 0900 to 1300 or 1400 to 1600 4 days a week.

Delivery: One-to-one learner support (Level 3 - QCF/NQF/RQF Framework)
We are seeking a motivated and digitally confident Graduate Teaching Assistant in ICT to provide personalised one-to-one academic support to students studying at Level 3. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop teaching experience while contributing to a programme designed to build essential digital skills, confidence, and understanding of the modern IT landscape.
You will support learners in navigating commonly used productivity software, internet-based applications, and real world digital tools that are increasingly embedded in everyday life-from mobile devices and online services to entertainment technologies and home systems.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver one-to-one teaching and academic support to Level 3 ICT learners.
*Support students in using word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email and other productivity software.
*Assist learners in researching, analysing and presenting information using digital tools.
*Help students understand how modern IT shapes everyday life, including mobile devices, entertainment systems, online shopping, and digital communication.
*Reinforce module content that introduces students to the current state of IT and its challenges.
*Record and report learner progress to the module leader, ensuring timely communication of support needs.
*Encourage learner confidence, independence, and digital readiness for further study.
About the Module
This module provides students with a solid foundation in using routinely applied software for retrieving, analysing, presenting, and communicating information. It also gives learners an accurate and current snapshot of the IT world and the digital tools that influence their daily lives.
Essential:
*Previous experience supporting students or delivering ICT instruction.
*A good understanding of core ICT concepts and everyday technologies.
*Strong skills in commonly used software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, etc.).
*Ability to explain technical ideas clearly to Level 3 learners.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*A supportive, patient, and learner-centred approach.
