Summary

Level 3 Nursery Practitioner – £27,000–£32,000



Children in this nursery spend much of the day outside - digging, planting, building, exploring woodland areas and engaging in child-led activities - with structured planning in line with the EYFS.


As a Nursery Practitioner, you will build strong relationships with your key-children and families, delivering high-quality and child led activities, ensuring that they build confidence and reach their full potential.



Before You Apply



  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is required.

  • Recent experience in a nursery delivering EYFS-based activities is essential.

  • You must be confident leading outdoor learning and managing a key group independently.



Key Job Details



  • £27,000–£32,000 per year

  • 40 hours per week, 5 days per week

  • Full-time, permanent contract

What You’ll Need



  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification

  • Experience as a Nursery Practitioner in an EYFS setting

  • Confidence leading outdoor play and learning activities

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk assessment

  • Ability to manage a key group independently



What You’ll Do



  • Plan and deliver child-led activities in line with EYFS, with emphasis on outdoor learning

  • Lead forest school sessions and support safe risk-taking in outdoor environments

  • Act as key person, completing observations, assessments and progress reviews

  • Maintain accurate learning records and development tracking

  • Follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures, particularly outdoors

  • Work alongside colleagues and external instructors to coordinate daily routines
