You will be supporting children in Finchley and the surrounding areas, helping them learn, play, and develop within nurturing and engaging settings.Duties as Nursery Practitioner:
- Support the planning and delivery of stimulating, age‑appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS framework
- Assist with the care, supervision, and well‑being of children aged 0–5
- Help create safe, inclusive, and developmentally rich environments
- Encourage children’s social, emotional, and physical development
- Contribute to observations and maintain learning records when required
- Support children with personal care needs as appropriate
- Work collaboratively with early years staff and contribute to daily routines during longer‑term placements
- Experience working with young children in nursery or early years settings
- Understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development
- Ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with children
- Creative, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptable across different routines, age groups, and environments
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Willingness to undertake relevant early years training and continuous development
