Job Summary
The Grosvenor Hotel is looking for a reliable and experienced individual to live on site and support the hotel with basic maintenance tasks, guest support, and overnight on-call presence.
This role requires the successful candidate to live in the provided accommodation.
Duties
Overnight Presence
Being resident on site overnight (5 nights per week)
Responding to urgent issues if required
Supporting late guest check-ins where required
Assisting guests with issues during the night
Monitoring general building safety and security awareness
Escalating emergencies to management or emergency services
Maintenance / Handyman Tasks (0-Hour Daytime Support)
Carrying out basic repairs
Supporting with room checks and minor maintenance
Assisting with general building upkeep
Reporting larger maintenance issues to management
Guest & Safety Support
Dealing professionally with guest queries and issues
Supporting with late arrivals and check-ins when required
Responding appropriately to potential security or safety concerns
Following hotel procedures for incident reporting
Person Specification
Essential
Aged 18 or over
Maintenance / handyman skills
Good customer service skills
Willing and able to provide overnight on-site cover
Reliable and trustworthy
Able to follow safety and emergency procedures
Desirable
Any related maintenance or trade qualifications
Experience in hotels, facilities, caretaking, security, or maintenance roles
Additional Information
Live-in accommodation is provided and is a requirement of the role
Accommodation will be provided either free of charge or at a reduced rental rate (details discussed at interview)
