Summary

Wessex NHS Procurement Limited is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us.

Please note WPL does not hold a Home Office Workers Licence and therefore unable to offer sponsorship.

This exciting role offers the chance to play a key part in shaping and optimising the organisation’s procurement and supply chain systems.

You’ll be at the centre of ensuring these systems run securely and efficiently, supporting users across the organisation, driving meaningful improvements, and helping to deliver a modern, compliant, and high‑performing procurement function.

At WPL we play a vital role for the NHS in Hampshire providing end-to-end procurement and supply chain services for University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust and Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Wholly owned by both Trusts, at WPL you’ll be part of the larger NHS family and contributing to improving healthcare across the region.

Our services include strategic sourcing, value creation, tendering, contract and inventory management, distribution and materials management for hospitals in Southampton, Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover. You’ll be part of a dynamic and like-minded team working with stakeholders on challenging targets to drive innovation, value and efficiency from procurement and supply.

To recognise and reward your contribution, we provide a range of great staff benefits. You’ll be eligible for a generous NHS pension scheme as well as all standard NHS terms of service and annual leave. Our employee benefits platform offers you discounts on a range of items, from the weekly grocery shop, high street shopping, days out with the family, and even holidays.

In this role, you will manage and maintain the client’s procurement and supply chain systems, including e‑catalogues, purchase‑to‑pay, e‑sourcing, and contract management platforms.

You will ensure all systems operate effectively with robust controls, maintaining security, user access, and data integrity in line with business and audit requirements.

Acting as the first point of contact for system users, you will provide timely support, escalate issues appropriately, and implement system changes to drive efficiency and optimise performance.

The role involves reviewing upgrades, conducting system and user acceptance testing, and working closely with stakeholders, IT partners, and third‑party providers to support system developments while ensuring business continuity.

You will oversee catalogue governance, ensuring contracted products are accurate, approved, and available, while supporting analysis and maintaining high‑quality master data.

You will also develop and deliver training, create user guides and procedures, monitor system usage, and promote consistent, effective system operation.

Additionally, you will contribute to wider procurement improvements, lead system‑related projects, support best‑practice adoption across regions, and ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and NHS eProcurement standards.
