School Business Manager

Start Date: April 2026

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dedicated and flexible School Business Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team in our fully inclusive school for primary aged pupils with complex learning difficulties.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is committed to making a difference to the lives of children with complex needs.
• Has the appropriate qualifications and experience as an office manager or in a similar administrative role, ideally within an educational setting.
• Has high standards and expectations in all aspects of school life.
• Has excellent communications skills and experience of working with families and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion in all matters.

The role of the School Manager is varied and includes local responsibility for:

• Office Management & Administration
• Personnel
• Finance
• Premises
• Health & Safety

The successful candidate for this post will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and the Police Act Regulations. We also undertake a Health Check, Teachers’ Prohibited check where applicable, a Children’s Regulations 2009 and a Social Media check for all posts. References for shortlisted candidates will be sought before interviews. Other checks required for the position will also be undertaken including overseas police checks where applicable. It is a criminal offence to apply for this position if you are barred from working with children.
