Aston Business School’s (ABS) Research and Enterprise Strategy sets out a clear ambition to strengthen the School’s position as a leading UK institution for business and management research. To support this, we intend to appoint up to four Visiting Research Excellence Professors on fractional contracts of 0.2 FTE. Appointments are intended to commence in March 2026 and run for up to 24 months. These appointments will be made at the senior level (i.e., professorial) and will target scholars with an established international track record of producing publications of the highest quality. Candidates should demonstrate a clear and credible publication trajectory, with evidence of manuscripts progressing through review, so that they can make an early and substantive contribution.
The post-holders will play a key role in strengthening the School’s research profile, accelerating high-quality outputs, enhancing the research environment and culture, and contributing to mentoring and research development activities that support academic colleagues, particularly early- and mid-career researchers.
