JoinManchester Foundation Trust Hospital as the Patient Dining Logistics Manager, a vital role dedicated to ensuring the seamless coordination and delivery of all patient meal services across the hospital. Reporting directly to the Head of Catering, you will play a key part in orchestrating efficient logistical operations that guarantee accurate, timely, and safe meal distribution while upholding the highest standards of food safety and patient satisfaction. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a compassionate healthcare environment by ensuring patients receive their meals with precision, care, and excellence.
What You'll Do:
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of meals to all hospital wards
- Maintain high standards of food safety, allergen control, and HACCP compliance
- Oversee ward level meal logistics, including trolley prep, transport, and regeneration
- Manage stock levels for disposables, service items, and hydration supplies
- Lead and develop the catering team, ensuring compliance with Trust and Sodexo standards
- Respond promptly to operational issues such as urgent diet changes, late orders, or equipment failures
- Achieve key performance indicators related to timeliness, efficiency, compliance, and service satisfaction
- Foster strong working relationships with clinical and catering teams
What You Bring:
- Experience in hospital catering or patient dining environments
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Knowledge of HACCP, allergens, and healthcare food safety expectations
- Ability to work under pressure during peak meal service times
