Home Type: 4-bed Residential Children’s Home (Learning Disabilities)
Salary: £48,000 per annum + bonuses & benefits

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity to join a progressive, trauma-informed children’s residential service operating within a therapeutic community model. The home supports young people with learning difficulties, with a strong emphasis on emotional warmth, attachment-based care, and reflective practice.
This role would suit an experienced Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager ready to step up, with structured mentoring and support available.
Key Responsibilities: Children’s Home LD Registered Manager
- Overall management of a 4-bed children’s home
- Ensure safeguarding, care quality, and regulatory compliance
- Lead, supervise, and develop a therapeutic staff team
- Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted standards
- Promote trauma-informed, attachment-based, and reflective practice
- Oversee staffing, rotas, training, budgets, and quality assurance
- Act as the Registered Manager and successfully pass the Ofsted Fit Person Interview
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Residential Children’s Social Care
- At least 1 year in a management or supervisory role
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic care
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Level 5 qualification in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
- Full UK driving licence
- Enhanced DBS and strong references
