Business Analyst and Support Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Business and Finance Team at Lancashire Renewables Ltd as a
Business Analyst and Support Officer.
The role will be based at either our Leyland or Thornton-Cleveleys site, with regular travel to the other location up to two days
per week, in line with business needs. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
What you’ll be doing
We are looking for a highly organised and analytical individual to take the lead on producing high‑quality business reports,
executive papers, and performance insights for senior leadership. A major part of this role involves preparing board‑level
documentation, insightful dashboards, and clear written summaries that support strategic decision‑making across the organisation.
You will act as a key support to the Senior Management Team, coordinating information, attending meetings, preparing action
trackers, and ensuring governance requirements are consistently met.
Alongside this, you will play a valuable role in supporting business analysis activities. This includes collecting and
interpreting performance data, monitoring progress against business plans, and identifying trends or improvement opportunities.
Experience in developing reporting platforms such as dashboards or BI tools (e.g., Power BI) is highly desirable.
What you will bring
* A minimum of a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant business-related subject.
* Experience providing high‑level executive support, including attending senior meetings, accurate minute‑taking, and managing
action logs.
* Proven ability to produce clear, insightful board‑level reports and documentation
* Microsoft Office skills (high proficiency in Excel and Word).
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights for stakeholders.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Knowledge of process mapping and continuous improvement techniques.
* Good verbal and written skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
The following would be advantageous, but training may be provided:
* Strong experience designing and maintaining dashboards and reports using Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI).
* Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write and maintain queries for reporting and analysis purposes.

Lancashire Waste Contract.
Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual
(black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill.
Our aim is to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non-biodegradable
community waste and our people are vital in helping us achieve this.
