We have an exciting opportunity for a Tutor to join Landau on a 12-month, term-time only fixed-term contract. This role offers the opportunity to positively impact the lives of young people who may have faced significant challenges, supporting them to develop skills, confidence and qualifications for their future.

The Tutor will deliver engaging, inclusive learning to small groups through Landau’s education programmes, including Functional Skills English and Maths, Personal and Social Development (PSD) and Employability qualifications from Entry Level to Level 2. Delivery will be creative, learner-centred and responsive to individual needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality, differentiated programmes that meet learner needs, including EHCP outcomes
• Deliver accredited learning (ASDAN Employability, PSD, Functional Skills English and Maths)
• Plan engaging sessions and resources aligned to awarding body requirements
• Complete initial assessments, inductions and ongoing progress reviews
• Monitor learner progress against Individual Learning Plans and provide effective feedback
• Support learners’ personal, social and emotional development, confidence and positive behaviour
• Prepare learners for external assessments and examinations
• Deploy and manage Learning Support Assistants effectively
• Maintain accurate learner records, registers and course documentation
• Contribute to internal verification, moderation and quality assurance activities
• Deliver enrichment, tutorials and high-quality information, advice and guidance (IAG)
• Support work placements in partnership with the Project Coordinator
• Liaise with parents/carers, employers and stakeholders as appropriate
• Champion safeguarding, equality, British values and Prevent
• Work collaboratively within the Landau delivery team and engage in CPD

Qualifications & Training
• Teaching qualification – E
• Maths and English at Level 2 minimum – E
• Assessor / Verifier / IQA or degree in relevant subject – D

Experience
• Teaching Functional Skills and/or Employability – E
• Working with learners with additional needs or EHCPs – D
• Team leadership or staff management – D
• Safeguarding and/or First Aid – E
