About the Role

Medacs Healthcare is delighted to be partnering with Operose Health to recruit a Lead Nurse for their team at Streatham High Practice, London. This permanent, full-time position offers you the opportunity to make a genuine difference, to work closely with the regional nursing, operational and GP team members to ensure all targets are met in line with current guidelines and standards within national service frameworks. About You

You are a UK registered Lead Nurse with significant post-registration experience. You have extensive clinical experience in Primary Care Health settings and managing nursing teams, and a strong understanding of the Quality Outcomes Framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work closely with the regional nursing, operational and GP team members to ensure all targets are met in line with current guidelines and standards within national service frameworks.
  • You will be acting within your professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. You will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice. You will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process. You will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required. In order to work at this level NMC requirement for advanced practice must be met.
  • In addition to the responsibilities above the post holder will support the Regional Lead Nurse and act as a deputy as required to ensure a high level of quality and standards at all times. Will be involved with the implementation and monitoring of all clinical aspects by demonstrating clinical excellence in conjunction with the site clinical lead and assist with the implementation of any nursing / ACHP redesign and quality strategies to ensure a high quality nursing / AHCP team.

Requirements

Essential:

  • First Level UK registered nurse / Registered AHCP with at least 2 years post qualified experience.
  • Non-medical Prescriber.
  • Demonstrates sound evidence of academic links.
  • Extensive clinical experience in Primary Care Health settings and managing nursing teams.
  • Understanding of the Lead Role.
