Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Audit Lead to oversee a small team delivering a strategic programme of audits across Force systems. This role ensures compliance with national standards, internal policies, and relevant legislation, while supporting robust governance and risk management across the organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
Developing and leading a planned audit programme across computer applications and other information systems.
Delivering compliance audits to assess adherence to policies, processes and procedures at all levels.
Reporting and presenting audit findings clearly and constructively, highlighting both strengths and areas for improvement.
Working closely with stakeholders to gather evidence, understand findings, and support effective remedial action.
Managing policy and risk processes, including maintaining the Force’s confidential risk register.
Contributing to the ongoing review and development of audit, risk and assurance practices.
Providing expert advice and guidance relating to audits and compliance matters.
Promoting positive engagement with the audit and compliance function across the workforce.
