Dimensions UK in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist a gentleman in his mid-20s, living independently in his own home. He has autism and a learning disability, and we are committed to supporting his independence while ensuring a caring and structured environment.

What does this Support Worker job involve?
Hours of Work:24 - 30 Hours Per Week - Shifts: 9–5 shifts four days a week or 5–10 pm shifts with a sleep-in until 9 am. No support required between 9 am–5 pm on Wednesdays, Fridays, and alternate weekends.
• Promote independence by providing gentle reminders and prompts, e.g., for daily routines like showering.
• Oversee medication management (checking medications are taken and counted).
• Encourage participation in live cook-alongs and other activities he enjoys.
• Be there as a steady presence to support his needs and manage any anxiety.
• Help maintain and nurture his strong relationship with his family.
Am I the right person for this Support Worker job?
• Driver with own car (automatic vehicles are fine).
• Must love dogs – His Cavapoo is full of friendly energy and will happily jump up to greet you!
• A patient and understanding approach, able to support “Ben” through challenges such as occasional anxiety or frustration.
• A creative and active mindset, eager to encourage "Ben’s" passions and hobbies.
